We broke bread, rubbed elbows and traded toasts with the locals at the Festa dell'Unità. Our photographer kept busy sampling every kind of pasta and ensuring that no food or wine went to waste (he really did his part for the starving children of China that evening!), as well as bestowing well-deserved denti di pescecane on the conference organizers, so most of the high points went unrecorded. Still, when things heated up over at the bandstand, he succeeded in documenting our hippest colleagues in action.
